Rules

Mau Mau is a card game frequently played in Germany. It's usually for two players, though you can have as many as five or six. It uses two 52 card decks with all four suits, 104 cards in total.

Mau Mau is an easy game without any major tactics that are essential for winning.
The aim is to be the first to get rid of the cards in your hand. Like most other card games Mau Mau starts with...

Dealing

One of the players is the dealer. Every player, including the dealer, gets an appropriate amount of seven cards. A couple of cards, those that remain from dealing, form the stock, which are placed face down.
The top card of the stock is turned open as the bottom card of a new pile.

Playing

The player sitting next to the dealer begins. He takes a card of his hand to put it on the open pile. This card must be either of the same suit or the same value.
As some cards are special he may have to react on special demands. The special cards are:

The next player has to pick up 2 cards or play another 7 himself. Then the next player would have to deal 2 or play a 7.

The next player is skipped or play another 8 himself. Then the next player would be skipped instead or play an 8.

Jacks of any suit can be played on any card, except another Jack. The player also chooses next suit which will be played. Jack played as last card doubles the scores.

A

When an Ace is played, the direction of play is reversed and remains that way until another reverse occurs.
If the first card of the game is an ace, then play proceeds counterclockwise with the person next to the dealer.

As soon as a player keeps only one remaining card, he has to announce 'Last card'. When he plays his last card, must say 'Mau'.
If the last card he plays is a Jack, he says 'Mau Mau'. If a player cannot play a card, because he hasn't got any card of either the appropriate suit or value, nor a Jack, then he has to deal one card from the stock. In case this card fits, he can play it, otherwise he takes the card, and game passes to the next player.

Scoring

If any player has played his last card, the game is over.
The other players count the value of their cards according to the following list:

2-10	actual value (2-10)
Jack	20
Queen	3
King	4
Ace	11

Jacks, played as last cards each double the scores.

The winner gets no points, the losers
their individual score as negative points.
When some player reaches 500 points,
he's removed from game.
The game is played until there's only last player with score less than 500, which becomes absolute winner of the game.

After winning a round, the winner gets points, and the game continues with the next turn, until one of players reaches such a number of points that the game is over. The round winners are rewarded after each round, as well as the winner of the game is rewarded when the game is over. The reward is in a form of special item placed in front of the winner and the satisfaction from seeing the opponents being deadly sad that they have not won.

N-Gage 2.0 troubleshooting]

Step 1 - "getting N-Gage 2.0 games"

You must download N-Gage 2.0 games - they are already cracked (full versions). Download links are here: click here

Step 2 - "just a step"

Most of games are already extracted to be ready-to-install, though some aren't yet. When downloaded game you should have .ngage file. If you are having .exe file, click here to learn how to extract it.

[N-Gage 2.0 troubleshooting]

Step 1 - "Installing N-Gage 2.0 games"

Now all you need to do is transfer the .n-gage files to your memory card in "E:/n-gage/" (if there's no "n-gage" folder, then make it). Now you got games? Yes, but not yet installed. Move on.

Open N-Gage 2.0 launcher. It could take about 5-10 secs for loading, just wait. But hey, now you've opened it, wait for the "Preparing installation” warning to finish, but you still got no games. Press [right] on your keypad, you should see all your "to-be playable" games but only they are a little bit blurred. No worries, just click one up and it will ask you where to install. And after it is done feel free to play on or restart your phone, either way, you can now play. And we are done!!!

Just some notes....

* You can create your own N-Gage profile and update online. And play on N-Gage Arena too - but I suggest not going to it, keep in-mind that every game is illegal.

* I suggest that you restart your phone before (not necessarily after) playing any N-Gage games. A fresh restart means -> fresher, cleaner memory RAM of the phone -> cleaner memory RAM, means faster phone response (loading), and N-Gage 2.0 takes a lot of RAM to start. And this should also fix the error "Not enough memory".

To be able to install any of following files, your phone must be hacked.

Step 0 - "Downloading all needed files"

Just download this file: click here

Step 1 - "Installing the N-Gage application"

*If your phone already has N-Gage 2.0 installed (icon often called ''games'', uninstall it before installing this ngage)

Install N-Gage_1.01_Build_1281.sisx to your phone or memory card and ignore the warning that it is not compatible to your phone and some missing OS pipes.

Step 2 - "Installing the N-Gage Patch"

Just install Nokia_N-Gage_Patch.sis.

You can skip this step if your phone is either 3250, 6290, E70, N73, N76, N81, N93 / N93i, N95 / N95i / N95 PR2

Some people find this step very difficult, especially inexperienced symbian users. But to be true - it is very easy! Just don't skip this step.*NOTE* If you do something wrong you will receive errors like ''couldn't open the game'' or ''error - x'' and because of that you won't be able to play games, so be careful. Let's start!

a) open folder "20001079.txt files" from archive you downloaded before
b) find archive named exactly as your phone model (if you own 6120c, then use 6120c.rar) and extract it. Do not touch other archives, because each phone has its own specific 20001079.txt file. *NOTE* If there isnt archive for your phone model, select other model that has the same screen resolution as yours, read more here: click here
c) install HelloCarbide.sisx to your phone, but don't open it now
d) make sure that correct 20001079.txt is copied to your phone (if it isnt then do it now using usb cable, bluetooth etc)
e) make sure that you have file explorer installed (Xplore, fexplore etc), if you don't have then install this X-Plore - click here
f) now open your file explorer and enable "show hidden files and folders" in menu
g) DO NOT EXIT but switch (press and hold the menu button) to your standby mode then open HelloCarbide. Press Options -> Menu1 -> Yes. If done correctly it will close itself. Now switch back to your file explorer. (You must not open any other application than your file explorer).
h) copy the proper 20001079.txt to "C:\private\10202be9", but DO NOT OVERWRITE IF YOU ARE ASKED TO.
i) delete 20001079.cre file from "C:\Private\10202be9\persists\20001079.cre", if there isn't such file just ignore this step
i) now exit file explorer. Don't do anything else, just restart your phone now.

N-Gage 2.0 troubleshooting

Step 1 - "Installing the N-Gage AutoStart"
Just install N-Gage_AutoStart.sisx to your phone, ignore the "not compatible" warning.

Step 2- "Installing the missing Symbian OS Pipes"

Just install Symbian_OS_PIPS_v1.2.sis. If you get ''Update error'' then just skip installing OS pips because you already have them.

Congratulations, now you're done installing the N-Gage 2.0 application. Now have your own N-Gage 2.0 launcher application. But what good will it do if there are no games??? Now we're going to install the games...

METHOD I

After gathering information from various sources I have finally managed to compile a decent guide to install N-Gage 2.0 on the Nokia 5800 / 5800xm using the files which have been circulating the web for the past few months. The guides I have had to use are poorly written/translated from Persian so hopefully the following guide will be easy to understand and follow.

Installing NGage:

Download the NGage Install Package which I have compiled here .
For this to correctly work, you will need to have your phone hacked, this should be no problem providing you have a little confidence and common sense. A guide on hacking your phone using HelloOX can be found on this site.
I can confirm that using HelloOX does work. If you're phone is already hacked with HelloOX and you're having trouble, ensure that all patches (open4all etc.) are applied and set to auto using ROMPatcher.
Copy the file "NGage 2.0 Installer.sis" to your phone and install it. You will need to sign the file using SignSIS or a similar application, you should already have a certificate if you have hacked your phone as you need to sign HelloOX to hack successfully. The install process will take quite some time and you will be prompted to press "Yes" to various warnings. I can confirm that no harm has come to my phone from this process.
Once NGage 2.0 Installer.sis has been installed, you will be able to find it under "Applications" on your phone. The icon will be an orange "N" and it will say "Games" underneath. To play N-Gage 2.0 games they must be copied to "E:\N-Gage" with "E:\" being your memory card.

Controlling NGage:
Since NGage is designed for phones with a keypad, and the Nokia 5800 is almost completely touchscreen, the controls must be customized. I have so far come up with two solutions, they are as follows.

Control Method 1:
This is the most stable and easy to configure control scheme, I can confirm this works OK.

Sign and install "Virtual Keyboard.sis" which can be found in the "Control Method #1" folder of the Install Package.
Run the virtual keyboard application from your "Applications" menu and then start the NGage application. You can use the Virtual Keyboard to control your games.

Control Method 2:
This control scheme is still a work in progress but, with some fiddling and a varying degree of luck, you may be able to get it to work. Some people have confirmed it working with different settings. I feel that this setup, if working correctly, would be the best way to control NGage on a Nokia 5800. I would like to request feedback from anyone who has this method working!

Sign and install "Virtual Keyboard.sis" and then "Virtual Key.sis", both of which can be found in the "Control Method #2" folder of the Install Package.
Start up "Virtual Keyboard" so that you have it running on screen and then proceed to start up "Virtual Key".
In the Virtual Key application, choose "Options" then "Load Mode" and choose "Custom Mode 1".
Press "Options" then "Add". Highlight "Original Key" and then press the Right arrow on the Virtual Keyboard application you loaded earlier. Then highlight "Mapped Key" and hold down the "Volume -" key then press the "Volume +" key. If all has worked correctly the mapped key should change to "Vol+". Then do the same for the following:

Then press "Options" and save your "Custom Mode 1".
Set the Virtual Key application to run in the background and completely exit the Virtual Keyboard application.
Start up the NGage application and try to play a game. Hopefully the Up/Down volume keys will control Left/Right when holding the phone horizontally, and the other keys should do what you mapped them to above. You may have to use the volume keys in the same way you had to set them (Hold down Vol- and press Vol+ etc)

METHOD II

This way those who have Nokia 5800 with no key and only Shtabsnj phone can all play with each other implements in the Nokia N97 Nokia 5800 will also run. First of all must be Download 3 files (Installer N-Gage5800, RockNScroll, VirtualKey), there are three that should install on your phone.

After installing the three software, Run Rock.N.Scroll, with this software you can phone up your direction keys to simulate your phone.

Run VirtualKey run from Gzynh, Add Options and select the image below in accordance with their phone to replace keys virtual move. 4 for this work to do on the virtual key image according to the simulation you are

Now you enter the software Rock.N.Scroll and high bar, go to program settings (Photo wrench)

Probably, HelloOX will stuck at ''Unpacking files''. This happens VERY often and will probably happen to you too. So instead of starting to panic, do this: 1) restart phone; 2) open HelloOx again; 3) If stuck again, repeat step 1. You might do this many times!

(Note: After running HelloOX, if you see that it's taking too much time or not working then exit and run again. Try again unlit it succeeds because it shall work.)

HelloOX does all the rest for you!

Now you will find Rompatcher installed. Just open it and apply the patch if it is not enabled. Done! You can enter the C\Sys\Bin and everything. Phone is hacked. HelloOX put the proper installserver.exe in bin folder. Please note that this is only for FP1 and Symbian 9.1/9.2 phones.

Here are installservers modded for FP2 phones. Copy the installserver_yourphone.rmp on your memory card; E:\patches Just open rompatcher and apply the patch (it should be good to use the autostart option). If you are having any problems hacking your FP2 device,

This is due to that your IMEI and some informations on your phone are also embedded on your account. Back-up all the files and folder in "C:\private\20007b39". Then place it back again. I don't think this will work when changing phones, because of the IMEIs conflict. You will need to "un-hook" your phone account to your IMEI, by asking for the administrator on the official N-Gage forum.

> I can't play the game that I want, it says "KERN-EXEC 3" or "USER-EXEC 3" or "Unable to start game (Error -6) or "Unable to start game (Error -18) error?

make sure, that you have done ALL steps correctly
restart your phone and try again
delete .cre file from: c/private/20001079.cre
turn rompatcher off
turn caps off

Also this is sometimes due to improper 20001079.txt placed on your phone or there is nothing placed yet. If your phone is Pre-FP1, use either the 20001079.txt for 3250, E70, N73, N93 / N93i, I prefer the one for N73. If your phone is FP1, use either the one for 6290, N76, N81, N95 / N95i / N95 PR2, I prefer the one for N81. If this doesn't work, it is sometimes caused by the different hardwares and softwares of the phone. Some phones can't play all the games (non N-Series and E-Series phones). Try asking on where you downloaded the game and see if they have a fix for this.

> Why am I having "System Error"?

Sometimes these are due to misnamed access points. Always check for it and access points should not have " ' " (apostrophe). Just to be sure, do not place any special characters on it.

> Why does it say "Out of memory" or ''Close some applications and retry starting the game. (Error - 1000002)"?

I suggest that you restart your phone before (not necessarily after) playing any N-Gage games. A fresh restart means -> fresher, cleaner memory RAM of the phone -> cleaner memory RAM, means faster phone response (loading). And N-Gage 2.0 takes a lot of RAM to start. This should also fix the error "Not enough memory". And make sure that there's no much applications eating your memory on the background. To close background applications just press and hold the [menu] key for about 2 seconds - a window pops up, now click [c] to close running applications. Try now!

> Can I update my profile and play on the arena?

You can set your N-Gage profile, update online, and play on N-Gage Arena. But I suggest not going to, keep in-mind that every software/application that is cracked is illegal, and some people are having problems with it.

> Can I have both cracked and legit games?

Yes, you can.

> Why can't I install a game that I want, it says "File Corrupted"?

If you've followed my tutorial, you won't have this kind of problem. Just make sure that you've followed everything CORRECTLY! And if you followed it, and this error appears, this is sometimes due to corrupted game file that you've downloaded, make sure you've downloaded it correctly, properly and is found working.

> Do I have to install N-Gage_Patch.sisx every time that I'll install a game?

No. You only have to install this once and this will work for all BiNPDA cracked N-Gage games.

> The extract N-gage file to PC button doesn't work?

The extract to pc button does not notify you if the file is already extracted, it is extracted at the same directory where you've opened the .exe game installer.

> Can I uninstall HelloCarbide after I'm done with it?

Yes, you can if you think you won't need HelloCarbide anymore.

> Will this work on other S60v3 phones? (Samsung, etc.)

Probably no, but you can try of course...

> Will this work on S60v2 phones?

Definitely, NO. The one important file here that let's N-Gage application run is the Symbian OS PIPS, that is only available for S60v3 phones. Saying that, it won't be able to run on S60v2 even if you repack it. Let's just hope someone could hack it. And the other thing is the RAM that N-Gage application eats, 10~20Mb RAM. Steps :

1. Run the signsis.exe file

2. Select the unsigned file, your certificate file and key file.

Pano Wallpaper is to create a set of wallpapers for Symbian^3’s multiple home screens. Of course, you can do this for yourself with your favourite image editor. However, the benefit of Pano Wallpaper is that it takes all the drudgery out of the task.

If you wanted to create a continuous wallpaper across all of your home screens, let’s consider the practicalities. Of course, you have to cut the image up into contiguous sections. Then you have to take into account the screen geometry. Are you going to go for something that fits perfectly in portrait, but then gets horribly scaled in landscape, or vice versa? Alternatively, will you go for 640x640 square images that get cropped in either orientation but don’t suffer as badly from scaling effects? Mau Mau is a classic card game on your mobile phone screen for two to four players. The game is played against three computer opponents, so that a total of four players can participate in the game.
